List of Most Influential Universities in Ghana on Social Media for 2015

University of Ghana has beaten various rival universities across Ghana to emerge the Most Influential University on Social Media. Even though having low following on its pages, they emerged the most talked about with an ocean margin authenticating their influence on social media users in Ghana.
During the 365 days in 2015, which we monitored social media, various topics brought these institutions into debates which created trends among them to become eminent in this rankings.

For this special category, FACEBOOK, INSTAGRAM, YOUTUBE and TWITTER was considered due to its massive presence and usage among competitors.

⦁ Accra Institute of Technology
⦁ University of Education, Winneba
⦁ Marshalls University College
⦁ Kings University College
⦁ Lancaster University College

Other possible entrants on the rankings next year include: Ashesi University College, University of Professional Studies, Regent University College of Science and Technology, Webster University and Valley View University.
Through Observations and Feedbacks on our rankings for 2014, we came up with the GSMR score, with a formula derived from various followings on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube with data on Engagements, Posts Reach and Mentions.

Final Data used for all Rankings were recorded on the 28th of December, 2015 and Figures (GSMR Score) on the attached chart are calculations from Social Media followings, Engagements, Post Reaches and Mentions.
As Ghanaians head towards the polls in 2016 to cast their votes, we have assessed the important role Social Media would play in various political activities and would like to use this platform to appeal to all Ghanaians to desist from using their social media platforms to channel unwarranted contents that potentially can lead this nation into any uproar.
The 2015 Ghana Social Media Rankings is conducted by Avance Media and CliQAfrica in Partnership with Dream Ambassadors Foundation GH, Royal Scene Media and GetGhanaOnline.
