@racheampong80, with the old modems, the models are written at the back of that modem, with its IMEI. With the latest modems, you have to open the cover to find the model.

@rzusinovsky, which dashboard was it using? I mean the original dashboard that came pre-installed on the modem.

Zain dashboard but a friend of my latter changed it to the mobile partner dashboard.

i did that but he said my modem is destroyed.when i insert the modem it is detected but the software doesnt open and it does not show in my computer.

i tried updating my E1550 datacard but at the imei side it says imei error and it cant also detect the current version am using. is lyk my datacard has gone off pls i need help.

i used Idea NetSetter E1550 Firmware Version 11.609.20.02.356 and followed the procedure but during the downloading program stage it said update failure.i did some research myself and discovered a software called mkey but i cant get a correct download link any hlp and suggestions.
